Climate change is devastating South Sudan through unprecedented flood disasters in the Sudd wetland basin and prolonged droughts in pastoralist regions. EcoRise South Sudan implements an integrated climate resilience framework:

• Community-managed early warning systems utilizing river gauges and SMS alert networks.
• Regenerative agriculture: soil restoration, agroforestry, water harvesting, and native seed preservation.
• Climate-smart agriculture field schools and demonstration plots for smallholder farmers.
• Drought-resistant crop promotion and water conservation techniques including zai pits.
• Community-led reforestation campaigns in Central Equatoria and Jonglei.

Target Beneficiaries (2025–2030): 10,000 direct beneficiaries including smallholder farmers (6,000), pastoralists (2,400), community climate champions (1,000), and local committee members (600), impacting 40,000 family and community members.
