Governance Structure

EcoRise South Sudan is governed through a three-tier leadership structure designed for fiduciary responsibility, operational excellence, and social legitimacy:

1. Board of Directors (7 Members):
A diverse, non-executive board providing strategic oversight, fiduciary responsibility, and policy guidance. The Board includes distinguished experts in climate science, gender law, finance, and community leadership. The Board meets quarterly and approves all major strategic and financial decisions.

2. Executive Management Team:
Led by the Executive Director & Founder, Emelda Napeyo Patrick, and supported by Program, Finance, and MEAL Coordinators. This team is responsible for day-to-day operations, program implementation, staff leadership, and donor reporting.

3. Community Advisory Council:
Composed of respected elders, women leaders, youth representatives, and persons with disabilities from our operational areas (Central Equatoria, Jonglei, and Eastern Equatoria). The council ensures that community voices directly influence program design and provides vital social legitimacy.
